The official notice states a minimum stay of three years at the initial place of posting.

Officers are appointed on probation for one year, which may be extended as specified in the advertisement.

12. Experience Requirements

The Generalist educational qualification section does not prescribe a minimum number of years of prior work experience.

The interview document checklist mentions experience certificates, if any. This does not make prior experience a compulsory eligibility condition for the Generalist discipline.

Always check the complete notice for any additional service conditions.

13. Skills & Certifications

The Generalist qualification clause does not require a specific IT certification or programming-language certificate.

Computer Knowledge is included in the Generalist Main Examination:

  • 35 questions
  • 35 marks
  • 15 minutes

The official notice also requires appointed officers to pass the non-life Licentiate Examination conducted by the Insurance Institute of India during probation, as specified in its service conditions.

Do not confuse the post-appointment Licentiate Examination with a pre-application Computer Science certification requirement.

14. Application Mode

Online application only through the OICL website and the recruitment application link provided in the notification.
